Race Equality North Somerset (RENS)

I was honoured to be tasked with rebranding Race Equality North Somerset (RENS).

Who are RENS? I'll let them tell you. Found on the RENS website, which another company handled the design for: Race Equality North Somerset (RENS) is a charity promoting the rights, interests, welfare and wellbeing of minoritised ethnic communities in North Somerset.

Snapshot

RENS requested that there be an equals (=) symbol in the logo, so I found a way to work this in using negative space and colour with the capital E.

I picked a combination of teal and black as the main colour scheme for RENS - the black colour on the thick sans-serif typeface to create impact and show strength, with the teal giving vibrant contrast to draw the eye to the equals symbol. Teal works well because it isn't too corporate like pure blue but it melds a softer and friendlier appeal into the sturdy, bold text.
