PromiseWORKS Charity Rebranding

PROMISE WORKS

WHO?

PromiseWorks is a local charity whose goal is "delivering inspirational mentoring for young people in Somerset". They wanted a rebrand that showcases a positive outlook on what they do for young people.

PromiseWORKS funds those who give their time to vulnerable young people, meaning they are not out of pocket for helping. They are known as "advocates", who amplify young people's voices - giving the young more power and choice in their own lives.

WHAT?

A competitive rebranding brief to give a modern look to PromiseWORKS that will get them more donations.

The "pinky promise" concept is inspired by the brand name and innocence of children and young people. A pinky promise is an almost sacred promise that children partake in, so it is a way to connect with them. Again, playing on the name whilst referencing the gifting nature of donations, I came up with the hashtag #thegiftofapromise to market the charity on social media channels. This invokes the emotion of gifting children with something as simple as a promise to look out for them. It isn't just money, it is a young person's quality of life. The gift of giving is in a donation.
